ANJI-SIPG INTERNATIONL PORT CO.,LTD. was jointly established by Shanghai International Port (Group) Co., Ltd. and Anji Chuanda Logistics Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Macau Henghe Group, in July 2014. In 2016, Anji Port, as a typical example of inland waterway transportation in Huzhou, was awarded the first (only) demonstration zone for the transformation and development of inland waterway transportation by the Ministry of Transport. It is the first cross-border e-commerce park in Huzhou City. In its business development, it has established a close strategic alliance partnership with Hangzhou Zhuoyuan International Logistics Co., Ltd. and cooperated with several internationally renowned mainline shipping companies to jointly create a complete international logistics network service system. In June 2017, it was included in the major project of Zhejiang Province to participate in the construction of the "the Belt and Road". In 2019, it was included in the key project of provincial infrastructure construction, and in 2020, it was included in the provincial pilot unit for the development of new business forms and models of logistics.
The company covers an area of nearly 250000 square meters, with a total shoreline length of 405 meters and 7 berths. There are Chinese customs, Chinese maritime and other administrative agencies within the port area. The container customs supervision yard covers an area of 160000 square meters, the customs supervision warehouse covers an area of 17000 square meters, and there is also a general cargo yard covering an area of 28000 square meters. The port area is equipped with 15 large port machinery such as rail mounted gantry cranes, 220 container trucks, and 50 inland 1000 ton container ships.
During the construction and operation of the company, it has received high attention from leaders and departments at all levels in Zhejiang Province. Li Qiang and Yuan Jiajun, who served as two provincial governors and deputy provincial governors, Sun Jingmiao, Gong Zheng, Ke Jixin, and others, have successively given instructions and personally guided Anji Port. General Secretary Xi Jinping presided over a symposium on deepening the development of the Yangtze River Delta integration in Shanghai and delivered an important speech, drawing up a new blueprint for the development of the Yangtze River Delta integration from a global and strategic perspective. On December 1, 2023, CCTV News reported on the advanced case of Anji Port.
The company has always adhered to the scientific development concept of "green mountains and clear waters are as valuable as mountains of gold and silver". With the strong support of Shanggang Group, it has fully integrated into the high-quality development of the Yangtze River Delta integration, committed to the green transformation and development of inland rivers, and focused on building ports, import and export cargo gathering centers, distribution centers, and a green and convenient logistics transportation platform around the construction of port collection and distribution systems. As of the end of 2024, Anji Port has completed a cumulative container import and export cargo throughput of 3 million TEUs, ranking first in the province's annual inland container throughput for 13 consecutive years since its opening. Compared with land transportation, water transportation saves 70 liters of diesel per TEU, with a cumulative savings of 179000 tons of diesel and a reduction of approximately 539000 tons of carbon dioxide emissions. Reducing road transportation from Anji to Shanghai by 1.5 million vehicles has played a positive and effective role in reducing road transportation and alleviating urban road congestion.
Anji Shanggang Green Water Transport not only promotes the transformation and development of inland rivers, but also effectively reduces the logistics costs of foreign trade import and export enterprises by 30% through convenient and green transportation methods. At the same time, water transport reduces the original road logistics transportation costs by another 15%. The second is the cumulative annual reduction of logistics costs by external enterprises in the region, which has been recognized and favored by a large number of import and export enterprises in the region.
